You will need

  • - Winning drill bit;

  • - metal detector;
  • - screwdriver;

  • - goggles or shield.

Instructions

1

Prepare the tools you need todrilling a brick wall. You will need an electric drill with a power of at least 600 W, with a shock function. The brick perfectly withstands static loads, however does not like sharp impacts. A good option will be a professional puncher if you have the opportunity to buy it or rent it. When using the tool, follow the manufacturer's recommendations.

2

Buy a pair of drills with a diameter of 6 and 8 mm,it is obligatory with surfacing from won (alloy of cobalt and tungsten). Such a cutting tool does not require pre-sharpening, it is specially designed for very dense surfaces. Finally, if necessary, pick up the dowel for full-bricks in the building shop for the size of the drill used.

3

Think about the location of the future hole inbrick wall. Carefully inspect the surface that you are going to pierce - it is important to exclude damage to internal electrical wiring, water pipes and other "pitfalls". The easiest way to not stumble on the obstacle while drilling is to check the surface with a metal detector.

4

If you do not have a special device, checkall sockets, switches and lamps. Usually, they draw wires to the junction box along a vertical line, although some electricians conduct them also diagonally. To protect yourself and timely detect drowned in plaster communications, the first 10-20 mm of the length of the hole should be done manually (for example, using a screwdriver). Act very carefully.

5

Mark the future hole with a core (speciala device for marking holes for drilling) to fix the drill in the first stages of work. Do not forget to wear protective goggles or a welding shield to protect your eyes from dust and stiff fragments of bricks.

6

Drill brick Wall, keeping the working tool straight - otherwise the drill may break. To ensure even boring of the brick, gently push the drill.

7

Even the most powerful device will experiencelarge loads when working with such a wall, so the drill must be cooled. To do this, lower it into the cold water, but carefully guard the moisture from the electric mechanism itself.
