Of this amount of products, a little over 1 liter of the finished beverage will be obtained. In the event that more compote is required, these proportions should be increased, observing the relationship between them. For example, to get twice the compote, you need to take 400 grams of dried apricots, 1 cup of sugar and 2 liters of water. The process of making compote takes no more than half an hour. First dried apricots must be thoroughly washed, and to achieve a more saturated taste of the drink, it is necessary to soak it in the required amount of water for 5-10 minutes. After that, dried apricots in the same water should be put on a strong fire and bring to a boil. Then you need to add sugar, reduce the heat to a minimum and cook the compote for 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat, it must be cooled to room or lower temperature, after which the drink is ready for use.

The above recipe can be considered basic forpreparation of a drink from dried apricots, however, if desired, it can be diversified by adding additional ingredients to it. Thus, for example, dried apricots perfectly combine other dried fruits that can be mixed with it, observing the proportions of the ingredients in such a way that the total amount of raw materials per liter of water is still about 200 grams. For example, you can add raisins, dried apples or pears, prunes or any other dried fruit of your choice to the dried apricots. In addition, the sugar in the original recipe can be replaced with honey, as well as add spices to the compote that you like, such as cinnamon, anise or other condiments. Add an unusual note to the drink by adding fresh or dried berries, such as rose hips or cranberries.
