A foreign company can close its representation in the Russian Federation for many reasons. On passage of all procedures on registration of documents for closing can leave not less than half a year.

  • - original permission to open your representative office
  • - the original certificate of your representation in the consolidated state register
  • - Accreditation cards of employees of the representation of your company, as well as their family members (if any)
  • - valid multiple-entry visas for employees and their families (if available)

Read the procedure for closing a representative office of a foreign company in Russia. In accordance with current legislation representation can be closed in the following cases: - after the expiration of the accreditation (if you are not interested in its renewal) - in connection with the liquidation of a foreign company - upon the decision of the company's founders.

Notify FSI SRC under the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation aboutthe decision you made to close the office. Pay the state duty for execution of documents and receive a receipt. Obtain letters to the FGU GRP for notification of the closure of the mission. They will need to be forwarded to the tax, migration and customs authorities, as well as to off-budget funds for final settlement, and receive appropriate notifications. Contact the bank where you have an account that needs to be closed in accordance with the terms of the earlier contract.

Prepare and other documents necessary forclosing of the representative office, namely: - the original permit for the opening of your representative office - the original certificate of your representation in the consolidated state register - the accreditation cards of employees of the representative office of your company, as well as their family members (if available) - valid multiple-entry visas for employees and members of their families (if any) - a certified copy of the power of attorney to the authorized person to conduct business to close the representation;

Make an inventory of the documents and transfer them to the FSI SRC under the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. After representation your company will be excluded from the relevant registries, as well as from the USREO (on notifying the tax authorities), its activities in the territory of the Russian Federation will be considered complete.

Hire the minimum number of staff required. Train new employees. Start the work of the representative office and regularly monitor the implementation of the plan.
