Reinstalling Windows XP on Windows 7 may beis made with the help of a disk or a flash card, on which the desired image of the system, represented in the ISO format, is recorded. After that, all data is deleted on the computer and the new system is installed on the system disk with subsequent configuration.

Recording the system image

Download the system image from the Internet orUse the original Windows CD if you purchased it from the store. The image can be downloaded from the official Microsoft website. There you can also make a purchase of the serial number for the subsequent activation of the system. To burn the disk image, you will need to install the program for burning. Among the most popular programs of this type, you can select UltraISO or WinToFlash. The first program allows you to record images on both discs and other removable media. Utility WinToFlash allows you to write the system only on a USB flash drive. Download or install the selected program, then run it using the appropriate shortcut on the desktop.

Before installing a new system, save all valuable data on a separate removable media or other computer, as all information will be erased during the installation.

Wait until the disk is finished marking, unpacking the installation files and restarting the computer, and then remove your disk from the drive or USB flash drive from the USB port. The installation of the system will continue and you will need to specify additional data (system time, user name, new password, etc.). After the setup and installation is complete, the computer will reboot and you will see the new system window.
