By opening the HTC Storage window, you can manage files and folders in your smartphone from your computer. If a memory card is installed in your phone, two removable devices will be displayed on your computer - HTC itself and a memory card. The memory card can be called "Removable Disk", or the name that you yourself gave it.

The HTC phone can also be used as amodem. To do this, in the settings for connecting to a PC, select the Internet modem connection type. At the same time on the computer you need to configure the connection through the smartphone, using the guidance of your mobile provider. If, on the contrary, you want to distribute the Internet from the computer to the smartphone, then in the settings, select the connection type "End-to-end Internet connection".

To enable the Wi-Fi adapter in Windows 8, go to the "Options" and "Modify PC Settings" menus. Find the item "Wireless". Move the switch to the "On" position. On some models of laptops there are external switches - buttons on the front panel. If your laptop has such buttons, find the button with the Wi-Fi icon or the corresponding image, and click. After turning on the Wi-Fi adapter in the connection menu, a new network will be displayed - HTC Portable Hotspot. Click "Connect". In the "Security code" field, enter the code that appears in the phone in the "Wi-Fi-router" menu.

Select in the menu that appears on the phone screen,the desired connection mode. In the modes intended for viewing and transferring files, the phone communication functions will be unavailable. Conversely, when you connect your smartphone in telephony mode (to access the Internet), you will not be able to access your folders and files via Windows Explorer.

Install the drivers on the computer from the disk,enclosed in the box with the phone. If the disc is not included in the package, download the necessary software from the site of the manufacturer of your smartphone. The address of the web page should be indicated in the technical documentation.

Wait until the computer recognizes the device(a corresponding message appears in the lower right corner of the monitor). Work with phone files through the installed software or using Windows Explorer. Or create a new Internet connection.

Activate Bluetooth on the phone and on the computer. If you are using an external Bluetooth adapter on your computer, first install the software you need (the driver disk must be in the adapter box).
