The epub (Electronic Publication) format waswas developed by the International Digital Publishing Forum IDPF - International Digital Publishing Forum - in 2007 with the support of Adobe. The program allows you to download books, sort them by author or by subject, read online and offline, make bookmarks, add comments.
To transfer purchased e-books to other devices, you need to register the computer on the website of the program's producer using Adobe ID.
The application has a simple interface,optimized for reading. Books can be opened in one- and two-page mode. The font size is also adjusted. In addition, using Adobe Digital Editions Home, you can print a book or transfer it to mobile devices (tablets, smartphones, communicators). There is a function for selecting the encoding for an open document.
If you need to create or edit an epub document, use the programs Sigil, eCub, Jutoh.
The application supports the search function,offers flexible settings for navigating through the text, supports the display of footnotes. You can select the tweening animation, configure auto-scrolling and save the settings in the user profile. Alreader works on desktop computers, as well as tablets, smartphones and communicators running Windows or Windows CE and Windows Mobile. The Android 1.6+ operating system is also supported.
