Plot
The director of the picture is Vladimir Krasnopolsky.In 1946, after the victory over the fascists,hero-front-line worker Mikhail Govorov returns to a peaceful life. But his way does not lie with his wife. Michael learned that Tasia was a woman whom he met on the roads of war and fell in love, gave birth to a daughter, and she was killed in the bombing of the train. Little Lily is Mikhail's own daughter. He finds it in the orphanage. Together with her Govorov, finally, comes to the family. The appearance of an illegitimate daughter is an unpleasant surprise for the family of Mikhail, his wife and little son Kochi (Constantine). His wife could not recover from this blow. She did not forgive her husband and did not accept his "blood". A close friend of Mikhail, Dementy Shulgin, invites him to take a responsible position. After that, the Govorov family moves to an old mansion outside the city. The popular belief has christened it "the House with lilies". With it is connected the legend of the unfortunate woman who imposed a curse on the house and its inhabitants. And although this happened in the nineteenth century, the house is still hostile to its guests. "There will be no happiness for those who live there for a hundred years," - this spell frightens off people from him. But the Govorovs, not knowing anything about him, become new masters of the house. Initially, their life is going well, but the misfortunes soon begin to haunt the once-careless Michael. The son dies, and the wife sinks the mountain in wine. And then it becomes known that Tasia, Lily's mother, has survived and is looking for her daughter. This is how the story of one family unfolds. Children grow up, parents grow old. But all of them continue to live under the roof of the house with lilies that have become their relatives. And this saga is not over yet.
