Tip 1: How to emphasize words in sentences
Complete parsing of the sentence includesin itself several successive operations, during which it is divided into parts, its members are allocated, a scheme is drawn up, relations between subordinate parts are described and a descriptive analysis of the proposal is made. Many of these actions are accompanied by graphic markup - separating signs and part numbers of a complex sentence are placed, and also different members of the sentence are underlined in a certain way.
Instructions
1
Emphasize the subject in the sentence with one continuous line.
2
To emphasize the predicate, use a double continuous line.
3
Addition in the sentence is indicated by a dotted line.
4
Use a wavy underscore to indicate the definition.
5
In the sentence, highlight the circumstance by underlining by a line of dots and dashes.
6
In a single-sentence proposal, its main term is emphasized by three continuous lines, although teachers in schools and higher education establishments do not always require it.
7
Use continuous underscore (including spaces between words) when selecting the individual members of a sentence.
8
Sometimes words can be treated simultaneously asdifferent members of the sentence. In such cases, use a double underline corresponding to both members. However, it is better to consult a teacher in advance - more often they recommend choosing one, the most suitable, option for the proposal member.
9
Do not underline the words and phrases thatThey are not members of the sentence - for example, appeals and introductory words. Sometimes teachers are required to designate them with square brackets or to emphasize crosses, and sometimes simply write above the word its name (for example, "introductory").
10
Unions that by definition are not membersProposals, but included in the composition of isolated members or comparative turnover, emphasize together with the structure of which they are a part. For example, "reading slowly and thoughtfully" should be fully emphasized by a line of dots and dashes.
11
Prepositions, like alliances, are not membersoffers. Nevertheless, also emphasize them with the noun to which this preposition applies, even if these two words are separated by an adjective. For example, in the phrase "instead of sweet tea", the words "instead" and "tea" should be emphasized by dotted lines.
Tip 2: How to emphasize the circumstance
When parsing the sentence, different members of the sentence are marked with different types of underscores. These are standard ways of underlining, which are accepted in the Russian language.
Instructions
1
Before identifying secondary memberssuggestions (circumstance, addition, definition), find out where the subject and predicate are in the sentence. The subject is underlined by one feature, the predicate by two.
2
Circumstance denotes a sign of action oranother feature. Circumstance is found in sentences very often, since it can characterize time, place, and mode of action. In addition, there are circumstances of cause, purpose, degree, assignment, condition.
3
Circumstances can be expressed by different parts of speech: a noun adverb, a gerundive or a gynecological turn, a phraseological turn.
4
Regardless of the type of circumstance and the part of the speech to which it is expressed, this member of the sentence is emphasized by an alternating point and dash.
5
If the circumstance is expressed not by one word, but by a whole turnover, it is necessary to emphasize the whole turn, without spaces between words.
6
When emphasizing circumstances, make sure thatthe points remained dots, and did not turn because of the sweeping of the handwriting into small dashes, otherwise the checking teacher can regard this underlining as an addition, which is emphasized by several dashes.
