The customs duty is a compulsory payment provided by the legislation, which must be collected by the customs authorities of the Russian Federation when importing or exporting certain goods.

In the customs legislation of the Russian Federation there is aconcept as a "customs tariff". This is a special list of customs rates prescribed by law for the import or export of goods from the territory of the Russian Federation. Most of the customs services of the world have similar "price-lists". The payment of a duty in accordance with the customs tariff is an obligatory condition for the movement across the border of goods allowed for circulation by the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. There are two types of customs duties: import and export customs duties. There are also transit fees, but they do not participate in the current economic turnover - the legislation of our country has also established zero transit fees.

The Customs Code of Russia provides forseveral ways to pay customs duties. You can pay the fee in cash, with the help of a bank guarantee, a surety or through the pledge of property. No one has the right to force you to choose any particular method of payment, this is done solely at your discretion.

Select the currency in which all customs payments will be paid. It can be both national and foreign currency according to the rate provided by the "Central Bank of the Russian Federation".

Fill in the customs declaration. Its form will depend directly on the procedures being carried out, as well as on persons who move these goods: a declaration for a vehicle, a transit, a passenger customs declaration or a goods declaration.

Pay customs duties directly at the cashier's office or by transfer to the appropriate bank account.
