Poppy cake with oranges
The combination of poppy and oranges is ideal for making a cake. Baking turns delicious, fragrant and so beautiful that it can be cooked for a birthday or any other holiday.
You will need
- For the test:
- - 300 g of flour;
- - 250 g of poppy seeds;
- - 180 g of oil;
- - 150 g of sugar;
- - 4 eggs;
- - 3 tbsp. a spoonful of milk;
- - 2 teaspoons of baking powder, grated orange peel.
- For caramel:
- - 200 g of sugar;
- - 50 g of butter;
- - 4 oranges.

First prepare the caramel for the future cake. To do this, in 100 ml of ordinary water, dilute the sugar, put it to boil. As soon as the liquid starts to darken, remove it from the plate, add butter, carefully stir to allow the oil to melt completely.

Pour the caramel into the mold. Boka and bottom form carefully smear the caramel! Oranges cut into slices, spread on the bottom of the mold. It is advisable to clean the orange circles from the rind.

Now prepare the dough. Whisk the raw eggs with sugar, add melted butter, mix well. Gradually add flour, poppy seeds, milk, baking powder and orange peel. Dough for consistency should be obtained for pancakes. If it came out too tight, then just add more milk.

Pour the dough into the form over the oranges,level. Put in the oven, cook a poppy cake with oranges 50-60 minutes at a temperature of 160-180 degrees. Check the cake is ready with a wooden skewer.

Ready cake let cool, turn it over a large flat dish so that the oranges in the caramel are on top. Fully cool, then serve on the table with freshly brewed tea.
