For lovers of smoked squid, you canrecommend an interesting version of the salad "Herring under the fur coat." Of course, in this version, there is no herring, so the name does not fit. "Smoked squid in a fur coat" can be a wonderful addition to the festive table.

Salad "Smoked squid in a fur coat"

You will need

  • For eight servings:
  • - 300 g of smoked squid;
  • - 200 g of mayonnaise;
  • - 2 beets;
  • - 4 potatoes;
  • - 2 carrots;
  • - a bunch of green onions;
  • 3 teaspoons of sesame seeds;
  • - salt, herbs.

Rinse the beet, fill it with cold water,bring to a boil, cook over low heat under the lid until done. Usually beets are cooked in about 1 hour. Drain the water, and cool the beet to make it cool faster, lower the beets under a stream of cold water. Potatoes with carrots, too, cook until ready in a uniform, then peel with the beets from the peel.

Potatoes grate on a grater, carrots too, you can rub beetroot, but necessarily on a large grater, otherwise it will give too much unnecessary juice.

Peel from the films of smoked squid, cut into cubes or straws - as you like. Rinse the bunch of green onions, cut into smaller ones.

Now form a layer of salad. The first layer is a potato, sprinkle a little and apply a mesh of mayonnaise on top. Then put the squid and green onions. Next, grated carrots, salt and a layer of mayonnaise. Then the beets. The last layer is mayonnaise, evenly spread it over the beetroot layer.

Salad "Smoked squid in a fur coat" practicallyready, decorate it with sesame seeds, green onions or any other fresh herbs. Leave to soak for 2-3 hours in the refrigerator, then serve to the table.
