Download from the Internet the melody that you would like to put on the phone. Connect the iPhone through the cable to the computer and open the iTunes application.

Click on "add file to the library ..."In iTunes and select the desired song in the window that opens. To open this window, you can also use the Ctrl + O keys. Check how the file sounds, whether it's loud, because it's very important to hear when you are called. Select a segment in the song about 25 seconds long, but not more than 30, otherwise the ringtone will not work.

Start creating a ringtone: click the right mouse button on the selected song, select the "information" menu item, and in the opened window the "Parameters" tab. In this tab you will see the lines with the names "start" and "stop time". In the first line, indicate the first second of the segment that you selected, and in the second - the last second. Click "OK", the dialog box closes.

Again, right click on the song andnow click on "Create AAC Version". Below this song there should be a duplicate of the song with the same name, but about 30 seconds long. You can grab the song by clicking on it with the left button and, without releasing it, pull it to the desktop of the computer. In the program, a duplicate song can already be deleted.

On your desktop appeared your ringtone, but not involume format. Now this is .m4a, and you need .m4r. To do this, simply delete one letter in the extension and write another one. If you do not see the file extension, do the following to change it.
