How to make a lion mask

Perform the mask in the papier-mache technique. To do this, inflate an ordinary balloon, its size should correspond to the head of the child, for which the mask is made. Using freshly prepared paste, glue small pieces of thin paper to its surface. Leave to dry completely. So make a few layers. Allow the frame to dry on a ball.

Puncture the ball, carefully remove the base of the future mask. With a blade or knife to cut the paper, cut the excess, shape the muzzle lion. Remember that the mask will cover the top of the face, including the nose.

Attach the future mask to the face of the child, note where the eyes are located. Draw them with a pencil, make a slit with a blade.

Make a pattern of a white muzzle, a black nose from an artificial fur. All the rest of the surface you can lay out strips of artificial fur yellow.

Glue the yellow strips with transparent glue ongel basis to the framework of papier-mache "joint in the butt". Watch for the direction of the pile. To the area of ​​the eye sockets was evenly outlined, you can bend the strips on the reverse side of the mask and then glue them.

Make a pattern for the ears lion in the form of semicircles of velvet, plush or fleece suitable shade. Sew two pieces of nap inside, turn out, process the edge. Attach the ears to the top of the mask with a stapler or sew.

Glue the white part of the cheeks to the muzzle lion. Attach the nose, having previously arranged under it three antennae from the black line on each side.

Cut out the mane lion from fur with a long pile. Keep in mind that the part must be symmetrical with respect to the center line. Glue it to the mask.

Cut a piece of gum, with which the mask will be fixed on the head. Make in the side parts of the mask slits, insert the elastic in them, adjust its length and secure.
