How to print on napkins

You will need

  • - napkins;
  • - the printer is inkjet or laser;
  • - PVA glue.

Instructions

1

Get a pack of such white napkins, whichsurface as much as possible smooth. You can use white substrates from colored napkins. Then divide the two- or three-layer napkin into separate parts. Lay the layer with the drawing aside, for further work you will need only white.

2

Get rid of the folds on the napkin. Smooth it with steam iron to get the most flat surface. It is not necessary to get rid of wrinkles completely. In the future, when applying a napkin with a picture on the product, the folds are finally smoothed out. Cut the textured edges with scissors.

3

Attach prepared material to whitepaper for the printer. It is very important to observe some indentation of the napkin from the edge of the sheet. The printer roller must first grab the paper, otherwise the napkin may be jammed, and the printer must then be cleaned. For different models of the printer, indentation is different. Before you find out this by experiment, place the napkin at a distance of 4 to 7 cm.

4

At an indentation distance, apply a sheet of paperthe whole width of a thin strip of PVA glue. Attach the edge of the napkin and press down with a ruler. The thin workpiece should be evenly glued, there should not be wrinkles or blisters on it. Align the napkin over the sheet and also glue it on the opposite side. Cut off excess paper around the edges.

5

The napkin can be fixed in another way. Put it on a paper sheet, having receded the necessary distance from the beginning, and glue along the whole width with a strip of paper tape. Experimentally find out whether you need to glue the opposite end of the napkin.

6

Format on the computer the selected image for printing. It should fit on a napkin, given its location on a sheet of paper.

7

Insert paper with a tissue into the printerthe indented side went first. After obtaining the desired result, so that the colored ink is not accidentally smeared, sprinkle the drawing with a hair spray. And when doing decoupage, use non-water based varnish.
