Principle of construction

To make a beacon work, it is necessaryconstruct a pyramid-shaped structure, the amount of effects and the strength of the lighthouse effect depend on its size. In addition, there should not be any opaque blocks above the beacon unit itself, otherwise it simply will not turn on. The pyramid under the lighthouse must consist of certain blocks. It can be blocks of iron, diamonds, emeralds or gold. In a single pyramid, you can use blocks of all four types, this does not affect the final effect. After installing the lighthouse at the very top of the pyramid, a very bright column of light begins to emerge from it. The higher the pyramid, the stronger will eventually be the lighthouse. To gain access to all possible effects, it is necessary to build a four-storey (without lighthouse) pyramid. In this case, the first layer should be a rectangle of 9X9 blocks, the second one - 7X7, the third - 5X5, the fourth - 3X3, as the fifth level (1X1), the lighthouse itself is used. To build such a pyramid, you need 164 blocks. Note that there are nine units of each resource in one block, that is, one iron block consists of nine iron ingots, and one diamond block is made up of nine diamonds, so it will take a lot of resources for the maximum pyramid. It is possible to build a two-level pyramid with a 3X3 block base, but the effect from such a lighthouse will be much less.

Turning on the beacon

After installing the lighthouse, click on it with the rightbutton. In the appeared empty cell you need to place one of the following items - gold or iron bar, diamond, emerald. After that, the list of available effects opens, which depends on the height of the pyramid, in which you must choose one of the options. Effects that are superimposed on the player last for a finite time. If the player does not move away from the pyramid beyond a certain distance, this effect can last indefinitely, periodically zeroing the counter. For a single-stage small pyramid, this distance can not exceed 16 blocks, for a two-stage pyramid, 24 for a two-stage one, 32 for a three-stage pyramid, and 40 for the largest one. For a multi-user server, the effects of the beacon are received by all players in the radius of the pyramid, such beacons are often set at zero coordinates, at the entry point to the game.
