Why are they ticklish?

The reason tickling is the body's response to the world around. Already from the cradle the baby begins to learn his own emotions. As a rule, the external effect on the skin becomes one of the first sensations in his life. Very often those children who were tickled little in childhood become gloomy and self-contained. A slight or slight tickling is accompanied by pleasant sensations when touched, the skin becomes covered with "goose bumps". Intense tickling entails loud laughter, yelping, hysterical laughter, etc. This is due to the fact that at first touches frighten people, and after that the brain gives a signal about the absence of danger. The conducted studies proved that self-choking does not give such a result because the nervous system accurately recognizes the source of "danger". Thus, in this case, the body simply ignores any actions in relation to him. Another reason that a person is afraid tickling, is a huge number of nerve endings, which send signals to the brain. The most sensitive areas can be considered feet, axillae, neck, back, ears, genitals. There is an opinion that those people who are afraid tickling, are jealous enough in a relationship. This hypothesis has no scientific confirmation, although there is a connection between the behavior of a person in relation to his beloved (loved) and the degree of sensitivity from touching. It is recommended to laugh more often from tickling those who want to lose weight. Of course, the results are not as visible as in active physical exercises. The average number of daily calories burned from a ten-minute laugh is from ten to forty. For a person, this kind of irritation of nerve endings is not only a way to increase mood and sexual arousal, but is also used as punishment. That is, people are subjected to "sensitive" torture, which is difficult enough to survive without compromising the psychological state of a person.
