Until what year privatization was extended
Privatization of housing is the right to free reception of a dwelling premise in the property. However, when planning to privatize housing, it should be remembered that the expiry date of such a right is already close.
The right to free privatization of housing hasCitizens of the Russian Federation living in residential premises owned by the State or the municipality. At the same time, the procedure for the free transfer of such housing to the ownership is regulated by Federal Law No. 1541-1 of July 4, 1991 "On the Privatization of the Housing Fund."
History of privatization in the Russian Federation
In its original form, the law on privatization, adopted in 1991, suggested that the citizens' right in question would be valid until January 1, 2007. Then it seemed that the time period allocated for the realization of this right would be enough to ensure that all citizens wishing to formalize the ownership of the dwelling in which they live could have time to undergo the necessary bureaucratic procedures. However, closer to the onset of this period, it turned out that To take advantage of the lawful right far not all who wanted to do it. As a result, in the end of 2006 in the state registration of rights to real estate began to form huge queues, and lawmakers decided to postpone the expiry date of this right. After this, this situation was repeated many times. The term of the right to privatization
Actually, the Federal Law No. 1541-1 of July 41991 "On the privatization of housing stock" does not contain indications that the duration of the right to privatization has a certain time frame. The expiry of the validity of such a right is usually established by additional regulatory legal acts. So, at the moment the main law regulating the timing of privatization is Federal Law No. 189-FZ of December 29, 2004 "On the Enactment of the Housing Code of the Russian Federation". The previous acting version of this legal act provided for the end of free housing privatization on March 1, 2013. However, shortly before the introduction of this edition, the legislators again revised the provisions of this law, shifting the completion date for privatization on March 1, 2015. Thus, as of today, Russian law stipulates that those citizens who do not privatize the dwelling in which they live before this date will be deprived of this right in the future, so they should hurry with the exercise of their legal right. However, the previous scenario does not exclude the possibility of another postponement of the end of privatization.
