In the funerary chambers of the pyramids, the researchers found richly decorated clothing, jewelry, weapons, household items. These findings indicate that the pyramids were originally built exactly as tombs. Until now, scientists and engineers have not come to a consensus on how the Egyptians built pyramids. To build such huge buildings, which include a huge number of heavy stone blocks, we needed special lifting devices. Ropes, wooden decks and skating rinks for sure, as well as a system of clever blocks, which made it possible to lift blocks to a considerable height. Obviously, the imperfection of ancient technology, the Egyptians compensated using the labor of many forced laborers. Apparently, a stone for the pyramids was mined in the immediate vicinity of the building site, less often - delivered along the Nile from distant places on special barges. Researchers are surprised by the quality and accuracy of fitting massive blocks to each other, which indicates a high technique of stone processing. Unfortunately, accurate information about the technology of erecting the pyramids has not survived to the present day.
