Choose an actual research topic,preferably associated with your thesis (master, dissertational or other) work. In case you can not decide on the proposed topic yourself, it is not forbidden to ask advice from the scientific adviser, your faculty staff or other familiar persons who have an idea of ​​the direction of research that you have chosen.

You collect monographic andperiodical literature, which is available in libraries and the Internet, on the topic of your work, paying close attention to the time of publication of these works. It should be remembered that in the framework of certain sciences (in particular, legal), publications published dozens of years ago often do not have any value, because legislation has changed many times, and the problems identified in these works have long been discussed and resolved.

Writing a piece of paper, which should bethe following information is reflected: - the problem that the society (or a part of it) faces, and why it needs to be solved; - options for solving the problem, proposed by other researchers, indicating their main provisions; - a critical analysis of the proposed solutions to the problem, and the statement of his point of view, based on the author's research (performed calculations, summarizing the opinions of researchers expressed earlier, etc.).

Sending the preparation of the article to the scientific supervisor (another person whose opinion is important for the student), and correction of deficiencies in the work (if any).
