How to get to Tobolsk
Tobolsk is the old capital of Siberia. From 1708 to 1782, the city was the administrative center of the Siberian province. And today it is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in the region. The main sights of Tobolsk are the Kremlin, the Prison Castle, the Church of the Archangel Michael. But here to get to the city is not so simple.

Go to the old capital of Siberia by train. In Tobolsk there is a railway station of the same name. The city is not a transport hub, and you can get here only from two directions - the south-western (Tyumen, Yekaterinburg and other cities located on the Trans-Siberian Railway) and the northeast (Surgut and other settlements of the north of the region). From Moscow to Tobolsk, you can get there by passing trains: "Moscow-Novy Urengoy", "Moscow-Nizhnevartovsk" and other passing.

Get to Tobolsk by bus. In the city there is a bus station. Scheduled flights to Tobolsk from Tyumen, Kurgan, Chelyabinsk, Khanty-Mansiysk and Petropavlovsk (Kazakhstan).

Visit the city on private vehicles. Next to Tobolsk is P404, so you can easily come here on your own or a rented car. South-east is Tyumen, from which it does not take long to reach local standards. From the north-eastern side is Surgut and other cities of the north of the region.

Take advantage of air service to TyumenRegion. Far from all corners of the country you can come to Tobolsk on a public bus. Getting on the train is not always convenient. For those who prefer traveling by plane there is good news. Near Tyumen, there is Roshchino Airport, which accepts flights from many parts of Russia and some foreign countries. From there you can get to the desired place by train or bus. There is an airport in Tobolsk, but at the present time even small aircraft can not make a landing there. Airport "Tobolsk" is suitable only for landing helicopters.

Come to the city by other means of transport. By rail, you can get to Tobolsk with the help of suburban electric trains. Geography is limited only to nearby settlements of the Tyumen region. Also in Tobolsk there is a river port, but for passengers it is hardly more interest than the city airport. But still it can be suitable for tourist routes.
