Oily putty for wood Put in beforehandprepared metal pumice tank. Fill it with linseed oil, add the turpentine and mix thoroughly. Alternately, put gelatin, casein, ammonia and borax into the resulting mixture, thoroughly mixing each ingredient. Pour in the necessary amount of water. Take a pot of suitable volume and boil water in it. Place the container with the prepared mixture in a saucepan so that the bottoms do not touch. Heat the mixture to 90 degrees, stirring constantly. Bring it to the consistency of homogeneous paste. Apply another warm paste on the wooden surface using a spatula.

Waterproof resin puttymelt in a suitable container of earth wax (ozocerite) and rosin. Stir the mixture thoroughly. Add yellow ocher in parts, with continuous stirring. Apply a hot, homogeneous mass onto the wooden surface with a spatula. It is necessary to know that when cooling, this putty hardens. Therefore, before the next application, it must be reheated to the melting point.
