How to open the valve of Majewski

Valves Majewski are used to be able toremove air from the heating system. Air accumulates, as a rule, during prolonged stagnation or during the initial start-up of water into the system. You can open the valve of Majewski yourself, for this you do not need to call the plumbing.

How to open the valve of Majewski

You will need

  • - heating system;
  • - screwdriver;
  • - a wrench or a wrench;
  • - pliers or pliers;
  • - water tank.

Instructions

1

Examine the design of the Mayevsky crane and selecttool to open it. If the valve is equipped with a hex nut, locate the wrench or the adjustable wrench; if you see a part with a slot in front of you - prepare a flat screwdriver. In addition, the crane can be equipped with a ribbed head, it can be unscrewed by hand or pliers (pliers).

2

Prepare a small container for water (after the air comes out of the tap, a trickle of water will flow). Aim the hole to go into the dishes, if this is possible.

3

Turn the cock anticlockwise several turns. It is not necessary to unscrew the screw to the end, although the fuse inside will not allow water to flow out.

4

If the screw does not unscrew, and you suspect,that the reason in the rusted carving, try to soak it first. Take kerosene, brake fluid "BSK" or WD-40 and wet the connection, wait a few minutes. Insert a screwdriver into the slot and tap it with a hammer so that the bolt rotates. Try not to exert too much effort not to break the thread.

5

Unscrewing the Majewski Valve screw, wait forall the air will come out. When the air in the radiator is over, water will flow into the substituted container - at this point and close the tap. Your task is fulfilled - the air from the heating system is released.

6

In order to fill the radiator system,pressurized with the supply and return valve closed, proceed as follows. First open the Mayevsky valve, then smoothly (to avoid a hydraulic shock) open the tap on the return line. When all the air from the heating system comes out and the water flows from the tap, close it and open the tap of the feeder.

7

If you need to fill an autonomous system, for example, a private house or cottage, open all cranes of Majewski, as well as cranes on the upper and lower connections of all radiators. Filling is done under pressure through the lower valve. When water starts to appear in the faucets, close them one at a time.
