It is not always possible to replace at the dachaold windows on new. At the same time I want to preserve the presentable appearance, comfort and warmth in the house. Windows in the country house can be updated with not very complicated manipulations.

  • - Chisel;
  • - antiseptic;
  • - putty;
  • - New accessories;
  • - paint;
  • - primer;
  • - Sealing tape;

Before the restoration, the window must be inspectedfor possible problems: aging of the tree (the window may crack over time); rot, fungus (due to moisture between the window structures); rust, breakage of the fittings (due to moisture ingress, it may become rusty).

It is necessary to remove the frames from the hinges, pull out the glass. Then remove all layers of the old paint and, if there is, remove the rot and fungus. Rotten places should be cut off with a chisel and treated with an antiseptic. Proskurit the entire window block with sandpaper to level the structure.

To restore the cut surfaces from old wooden windows, use putty. Apply it to the area to be reconstructed and allow to dry.

Then you should check the hardware. If it is possible to restore it, you need to clean the accessories and lubricate them. If this is not possible, then replace it with a new one.

It should be primed with a whole window, let dry. Then you can paint in the right color. It is better to apply the paint in two layers.

Now it is necessary to put the frames in place,Install the glass using silicone sealant. If necessary, use the seal if the frames are not too tight. Fix all the beads.
