Rules for seed reproduction of indoor plants
When performing seed reproduction of indoorplants should pay attention to a number of factors on which the result of planting will depend. Particularly important points include, for example, such actions as seed preparation, soil selection, care of the first sprouts.
Instructions
1
The result of sowing directly depends on the qualityselected seed material. Please note that for each houseplant there are separate recommendations. To accelerate growth, it is sometimes better to remove the pericarp in advance. This procedure is carried out, for example, when sowing coffee tree seeds, most varieties of palm trees and anthurium.
2
Before seeding, the seeds are kept ina weak solution of potassium permanganate. This procedure should be carried out within 12-48 hours. Pre-treatment of the seed allows to prevent the appearance of mold, both on the seeds themselves and on the roots of future plants.
3
After planting seeds in the soil, it is necessary to cover the container with a food film, which is removed after the appearance of the first shoots. Water is poured at this, as a rule, through a pallet.
4
It is very important to provide young house plants with a stable temperature. Otherwise, shoots will lose a healthy appearance and will look weak.
