Types of self-leveling floors

Polymer floor coverings are distinguished by highpracticality. The monolithic surface without seams and joints is distinguished by an ideal evenness, since the composition before polymerization has a fluidity and the ability to self-level. Self-leveling floors are easy to operate, durable and wear-resistant, the coating does not burn and does not emit toxic substances.

Types of self-leveling floors

The main types of polymeric floor coverings for the main polymer component:

1. Epoxy floor - made on the basis ofepoxy resins, differs rigidity, hardness, resistance to chemical compounds and mechanical stress, is brittle and is not used in rooms with possible negative temperatures.

2. Polyurethane floor - made on the basis of polyurethane, elastic, shock-resistant, withstands significant loads.

3. Epoxy-urethane floor - the basis liescombined composition, characterized by the hardness of the epoxy coating and the elasticity of the polyurethane floor, is suitable for creating a coating not only in enclosed spaces, but also in the parking lot.

4. Methyl methacrylate is produced on the basis ofmethyl methacrylate resins, quickly set, copes with negative temperatures and medium loads, characterized by a sharp smell during the pouring of the floor.

5. Cement-acrylic floor - a mixture of polyacrylic polymer and quartz filler, withstands long-term exposure to water, the coating is resistant to acids and fats, and has an anti-slip effect.

Polymeric flooring in living areasis highly practical. The combination of different colors or the use of 3D technology in the design of the floor allows you to bring unique touches to the interior.

Disadvantage of the floor is considered to be the needin the preparation of the substrate before applying the polymer composition, the complexity in the dismantling of the coating, the toxicity in the liquid state. When exposed to ultraviolet light, some varieties of the floor can fade. Polymeric compositions are relatively expensive.
