1

Spring decontamination of the hotbed should beginin March or at the end of February, in case of a prolonged thaw. The first thing to do is remove all plant remains. This is the overwintered plant topsoil, weeds and roots. They contain pathogens, from which you need to completely get rid of.

2

The next stage is the removal of the dressing material, twine, rope pegs and everything that could remain in the greenhouse after the season. All unnecessary is removed from the hotbed and burned. The water must also be burned or taken out of the plot. Composting of vegetable waste left in the greenhouse is not recommended.

3

If the greenhouse is a film, it is desirable to remove the coating,to smoothly handle the greenhouse constructions. In a glasshouse made of polycarbonate or glass, only removable parts (windows, doors) are removed, and stationary ones remain. The removed covering material (film) spreads on a free area and is thoroughly washed on all sides with a brush and soapy water. Then rinsed with clean water and sent to dry. Polycarbonate coating and glass should also be treated with a soap solution and rinse with water.

4

The next important sanitary event -disinfection of soil. If the greenhouse is small, you can make it a steep boiling water, spilling every square meter with several buckets. It's good to add potassium permanganate to boiling water. Greenhouses of large sizes are best treated with chemicals - copper and iron sulfate, on acidic soils - with chlorine lime. But in the spring before planting this is not recommended. Therefore, if you have not treated the soil in a greenhouse in the fall, and if in the past season there have been outbreaks of any fungal diseases in the greenhouse, it is safer to change the top layer of the soil. Throughout the area of the hotbed it is necessary to remove 7-8 cm of soil, fill it with fresh compost or rotted manure and dig at a depth of 10-15 cm.

5

In a glass or polycarbonate glasshouse, conduct and disinfection by fumigation. You will need sulfur balls, which are laid out on metal sheets, adding kerosene to them. In the greenhouse all the windows and doors are closed and left for a few days. Sulfur gas is dangerous not only for bacteria, but also for humans, so enter the greenhouse after fumigation should only be properly ventilated.
