What gasoline is needed for a trimmer

Owners of dachas and household plots needconstantly monitor the condition of the lawn and cut the grass. One of the tools for this work is a gasoline trimmer. If you want it to serve you for a long time, it should be poured into it suitable gasoline.

A brand of gasoline suitable for a particular modeltool, is usually indicated in the instruction manual. If you neglect the recommendations of the manufacturer and fill the tank with fuel with an incorrect octane number, over time the device can simply fail. Trimmers come with two-stroke and four-stroke engines. Their refueling and maintenance are significantly different.

Petrol trimmers with a two-stroke engine

Mototrimmery, equipped with a two-stroke engine,Do not have a separate oil supply system for lubricating rubbing parts. Therefore, they need to be filled not with pure gasoline, but with its mixture with engine oil. Remember that the oil must be special, designed for two-stroke engines. The use of automotive engine oil can disable the tool. Tremmers with a two-stroke engine should be refueled with AI-92 gasoline. Of course, he will be able to work on gasoline with a higher octane number. But when refueling with AI-95 gasoline, the engine will overheat and work unevenly. Mix the oil and gasoline in the correct proportion. If the lubricant is too small, teething will appear on the piston surface and the cylinder walls, then the piston ring will collapse and the engine will jam. The excess of oil is not so critical, but it will also lead to unpleasant consequences. The piston will form a deposit, and the piston ring coked, which will lead to a drop in power. Usually the proportions of gasoline and oil are indicated in the instructions to the tool. Many manufacturers prescribe a ratio of 50: 1 - one part of the oil is poured into 50 parts of the fuel. Consequently, one liter of fuel should account for 20 ml of oil. If the engine is worn out, or the tool works with a high load, the amount of lubricant can be increased to 25: 1, pouring 40 ml per liter of gasoline.

Petrol trimmers with four-stroke engine

Trimmers, powered by a four-strokeengine, have a more complex device. Gasoline and oil are poured into different containers, from which they are then fed into the engine. In such models, it is not possible to use a lubricant designed for two-stroke engines. The trimmer with this motor must be of the type AI-92 or AI-95. Use of fuel with a lower octane number is not recommended - this will lead to an unstable engine. Many manufacturers of trimmers strongly advise using fuels and lubricants produced under their own logo. Often they are more expensive than analogues sold under other names. Companies that manufacture gasoline tools do not produce fuel. They buy this product from companies engaged in the production of oils, and then they refill the grease in the tank with its symbolism. Therefore, you can safely buy a suitable oil of any manufacturer. The main thing is that it corresponds to the parameters of the engine.
