You will need

  • - Screwdriver Set;
  • - set of wrenches;
  • - user guide.

Instructions

1

Place the car in a well-lit andlevel ground. Lift the hood of the car and examine the plastic protective covers over the radiator. To access the front bumper, remove the upper protective plastic cover that hides the clamps and bumper screws in the front of the vehicle. Save the screws and plastic cover for reinstallation.

2

Begin to remove the screws in the center of the bumper and reachto the side anchorages. Look for the screws and clamps that hold it in place. Loosen and remove the screws with a screwdriver. Try to inspect the part from all sides. There should be about 12 screws and four clamps. Old models of cars and trucks can have four bolts that fasten the bumper to the frame. Remove these screws and bolts to separate the bumper from the body.

3

When removing all attachments, inspect the seatsconnections with the wings of the car. Remove the bumper from the wings and headlights. Most parts are interconnected and overlap each other to increase the rigidity of the structure. Gently pull the edges of the bumper out from under the other parts. Now the only thing that keeps the bumper in place is a few clamps.

4

Ask someone to hold one sidebumper, while you will work with another. Clamps can be hook type or have latches. The bumper, held by hooks of the hook type, needs to be simply lifted. If the bumper is held by the clips on the latches, then it is necessary to bend them with a screwdriver. First of all, detach the hooks of the hook type, and then proceed to the latches.

5

Disconnect all wires that are connected to theheadlights in the bumper. Install the wiring on the new bumper to ensure that all the equipment that appears on the vehicle's technical data sheet is operational.

6

Disconnect the bumper from the car afterall the screws and clamps were removed. If one part of the bumper does not separate easily, this could mean that the part is still attached to the body. Most likely, you missed one of the screws that attach the bumper to the car. Once again, check everything and fix this problem by unclasping the missing clips or unscrewing the screws to complete the removal of the bumper.

7

To install a new bumper, follow the steps in reverse order. Make sure that you do not have unnecessary details and everything was installed in its place.
