In addition, clay possesses tightening properties. But before you apply a mask of clay, you need to pay attention to the tips.

Use of clay in cosmetology

Since ancient times, clay is used in cosmetologyto care for any skin. It perfectly cleanses the skin without causing allergies and without traumatizing the skin. Clay is a natural sorbent that perfectly removes grease and dirt.

Clay masks are made of clay of all colors: black, white, blue and green. Clay is suitable for oily or combination skin, it excellently fights with greasy sheen, black dots and acne, and even out small scars. Black clay should be used with frequent inflammatory rashes, because it has antibacterial effect. For sensitive and mature skin, as well as with a strong dryness of the face, it is good to use red, yellow and pink clays rich in useful mineral elements. Most often for cooking masks use the most versatile types of clay, which fit any skin (white and blue).

When preparing clay masks, you should follow the rules:

1. Do not use metal objects when mixing ingredients. The interaction of clay with metals makes it harmful to the skin. It is better to use ceramic or glassware.

2. Because of the severity of the clay, the mask should be made in the horizontal position of the body, otherwise, hardening, the clay will stretch the skin.

3. Clay dries the skin, so the time of exposure should be respected depending on what type of skin: for dry - 7, normal - 10, and for fatty - no more than 15 minutes.

4. The clay mask can not be torn from the face, it can damage the skin. To remove the mask, it should be soaked with water, preferably at room temperature, and gently washed off.

A classic clay mask recipe is oftenused among lovers of home masks. To do this, you need two tablespoons of clay powder, add a little water to it and mix it to a consistency of thick sour cream, without lumps. Apply a mask to a thick layer, avoiding the zone around the eyes. Further sustain a time appropriate to the type of skin. At the end of time, wash off the mask, apply moisturizer if necessary.

Of course, there are many variations of claymasks, their main property is skin cleansing. Adding additional ingredients reduces the effectiveness of skin cleansing, but adds additional qualities to masks such as nutrition, lightening, lifting and rejuvenation.
