The impact of the TV on children's sleep
Scientists of the USA have been found out, that long watching of the TV by children does not give them high-grade to get enough sleep. Timely shutdown of the TV does not contribute to the rapid falling asleep of children.
Any hour at the TV screen takes 7 minutes of your healthy sleep from your child.
All children want to have a TV in their room, but US researchers found that this violates children's sleep and harms health. Such results were made by a group of researchers MassGeneral Hospital for Children and Harvard School of Health, who watched 1800 children in the age group from 6 months to 8 years.
As it turned out, those children who had in theirchildren's rooms TV, slept significantly less than those children who did not have a TV. This is one of the first studies that studies the influence of TV on the sleep of children in a long period. Its results are confirmed by the results of similar, less-profound studies that found out the direct impact of the TV on children's sleep.
The problem is not even that they are watchingTV, not to sleep. The fact is that timely shutdown of TV does not contribute to the rapid falling asleep of children. This is due to overexcitement and emotionality, which cause watching movies, cartoons or TV shows. This applies not only to children, but also to adults. Therefore, American scientists recommend to refrain from watching television before going to bed.
Sleep disturbance in children adversely affects mental and physical development, contributing to the emergence of abnormalities and health problems.
