Why the child may not go to school

Why the child may not go to school

The school is a world of new knowledge and skills, developmentwhich requires considerable effort and endurance from the child. School attendance is the responsibility of any school-age child. To skip classes there must be valid reasons.

Why the child may not go to school

The first time in first class

If we mean enrollment in the first grade,a child may not go to school if he has not reached a certain readiness. The average age for admission to primary school is 6.5 - 7 years. However, according to psychological research, not all children at this age are ready for a new regime. To determine the physical and psychological readiness of a child to school can help a commission of specialists: pediatrician, psychologist, speech therapist, neurologist, etc. It is necessary to conduct special psychological tests and observation of the child. In the case when there is talk about unformed readiness, you can use methods of psychological correction or just wait a year.

Reasons for missing classes

A common reason for missing schooloccupations is considered a pupil's illness. Parents are required to notify the class teacher about the child's illness and, after recovery, submit an appropriate certificate from the polyclinic no later than 3 hours after the beginning of the class. To avoid missing the assimilation of new educational material in case of a prolonged illness, you should take care of lessons at home. Keep track of the child's well-being. At a high temperature and a strong malaise about home occupations it is better to forget until full recovery. If the consequences of illness or injury somehow have a negative impact on the possibility of studying in an ordinary school, the child, on a written decision of the medical commission, must be transferred to home schooling or instruction in a special (correctional) school. When disability is received, it is recommended that it be properly issued by submitting the necessary documents to the medical and social examination bodies (ITU). Not to attend school is allowed in adverse weather conditions. For younger students, a strong snowstorm (at a wind speed of more than 5 m / s) and an air temperature below 26 degrees can serve as an excuse for staying home in the winter. For pupils of grades 5-11: the temperature is below 30 degrees. The decision on the cancellation of classes in a certain region is taken by the district administration, and the schools notify the pupils and parents about it by placing an appropriate announcement no later than two days before the expected onset of cold weather. Sometimes it happens that the parents' vacation does not coincide with the school holidays. To rest with the whole family, parents are obliged to notify the management of the school in advance about such a desire and write a statement about giving the student an extraordinary vacation with an indication of the terms. All responsibility for the teaching process rests on the shoulders of the parents, so it is recommended to take time to look at textbooks at leisure. Unambiguously, school classes are canceled when natural disasters occur (flood, etc.). You can resume the educational process after a while, when the danger passes. If the school building has been destroyed by the elements, the pupils should be distributed to other schools, if any. The redistribution option is also used in cases when the school building is demolished or has not been repaired for a long time (the wear of the structure is more than 80%).
