DVD-ROMs are convenient carriers of information, on which a large amount of data is placed. It is possible to write files to disk using the system method or by using third-party applications.

In the operating systems version of Windows XP ServicePack 3 and above there is a function to write files to disk. Insert the media into the drive and wait for it to appear in the My Computer folder. Drag or copy the files you need to the disk. After that, in the left part of the window you will see the function "Write files to disk". Click on it and follow the on-screen instructions. At the end of the process, the files will be recorded on DVD.

Use third-party programs for burningdisks. The most common is Nero Burn. Run it and select at the top of the DVD window as the main view of the recording media. At the bottom of the window, move the cursor to "Favorites" and select "Create Data DVD". Then the process of determining the amount of free space on the DVD-ROM will begin. After that, the application will proceed directly to the record itself.

Use one of the free DVD burnersprograms. A suitable option may be, for example, ImgBurn. The program takes up a bit of space and after downloading from the Internet it does not require installation. Launch the application. In the "Mode" menu, click on the "Build" tab. Click in the opened window "Lists of files" and select the information you are interested in for DVD recording. You can specify additional settings, for example, the order in which the recorded video files will be played, then select the folder for saving the image, giving it a name.

Check if the selected files are appropriate forDVD-ROM drive. If the prepared data matches the disk size, specify the saving parameters, dates, Latin names on the window tabs and press "Start". The application will create two image files with the extension * .msd. Load the created image into the program, insert the DVD into the drive and start the burning process.
