The history of the birth of the Bahá'í religion is one of the mostpeaceful - in comparison with the birth of Judaism, Christianity or Islam. Just as Christianity once erupted from Judaism, the Bahá'í branch broke from Islam. In Russian, the name of the new religion is translated as the religion of Light, because the word "baha" in Arabic means light, radiance or glory.

The Bahá'í symbol is the nine-pointed star. Baha'i adherents greet each other "Allah-have Abha", which means "God is Glorious". At the initial stage of the formation of religion, the greeting sounded in a more Muslim interpretation, like "Allah-u Akbar."

In the 60s of the XIX century in Iraq, on the basis of onefrom the Islamic currents, founded by the young Iranian merchant Seyyid Ali Muhammad Shirazi, a new teaching and belief was born, which eventually grew and got stronger, attracting more and more supporters. Sixth: women and men are equal - this is a mandatory postulate of the development of mankind and the transformation of society.

In 1963, the adherents of Bahaism created the Universal House of Justice, which currently conducts all the affairs of Bahá'í religion in the international community and coordinates the activities of all spiritual communities.
