Muscovites have a registration certificate for the trademark "Alenka" issued according to all rules. Such a document is issued by the Federal Service for the Protection of Intellectual Property - Rospatent. The name of the "controversial" chocolate is somewhat different from it - "Krupskaya Alenka". Nevertheless, in March 2011 Muscovites filed an application to the St. Petersburg branch of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS). A year later, a similar statement was submitted to the Moscow branch of the same service by the St. Petersburg factory - she accused her colleagues of illegal registration of the trademark. Now the documents on both claims are handed over to the central office of the FAS, which has to deal with two chocolate "Alenka". Until recently, both factories were part of the association "Ascond", which unites the confectionery industry in Russia. "Red October" - as part of the holding company "United Confectioners", and the factory named after Krupskaya was represented there by the company "Orkla Brands Russia", to which it belongs. But in February 2012, Orkla Brands Russia left this association, explaining its actions by the fact that "Ascond" does not care about the interests of the industry as a whole, but only protects the interests of the holding company "United Confectioners". The reason, apparently, was the refusal of Rospatent to register another trademark of this company - "Sunny Kyzyl-Kum." The company believes that in this way Rospatent prevents the creation of competition called "Karakum", also owned by the factory "Red October". The company "Orkla Brands Russia" is a branch of the Norwegian concern Orkla in our country.
