What kind of microfiber material

Microfiber is a modern synthetic material, received its name due to unusually light and thin fibers - their thickness does not exceed several micrometers.

What kind of microfiber material

The microfibre fabric, thanks to its structure, practically weightless: even a thousand-kilometer thread of this material has a mass of only 60 grams. For the production of microfiber, various polymers are used, most often polyamides and polyesters. The material is used not only for tailoring, but also for making upholstery and various means for maintaining cleanliness.

The history of the appearance of microfiber

The first prototypes of modern microfiber appearedin Japan in the middle of the last century. It was then that they began to use a special technology for processing polyamide. And in 1976, finally appeared a real microfiber in its modern form. In Europe, the invention of the Japanese was getting long enough - only at the end of the twentieth century microfibre appeared in Sweden. Exceptional properties of the material were very quickly appreciated, and microfiber was first conquered by European countries, and at the beginning of the twenty-first century it crossed the ocean, appearing in the USA.

Application of microfiber

Items of microfibre clothing have a soft, pleasant to the touch surface. In addition, they are also practical: they are not susceptible to molting and rolling, they do not stretch and almost do not crumple. Clothing made from microfiber can withstand repeatedly washing without losing its original color, its saturation and brightness. And its hypoallergenicity is, one might say, one of the key properties of microfiber for allergy sufferers.
The microfibre fabric not only easily tolerates washing, but also dries very quickly. Spin mode for clothes made of this material should be used the lowest.
Miniature sizes of microfibre fibers allowthey collect particles of dust and dirt accumulated in hard-to-reach areas. In addition, this material effectively absorbs moisture in volumes that exceed its own weight several times. After cleaning the surface with microfiber there are no stains and scratches, so it is well suited for delicate cleaning - for example, for wiping monitors or camera lenses, cameras.
Successfully cope with cleaning microfiber helpsalso static electricity, which occurs when the fibers rub against each other. With its help, the material retains the collected dirt and part with it only when it is washed with water.
Another area of use of microfiber -cosmetology. This material is made of towels, wet wipes and sponges to remove makeup and skin care. Microfiber successfully copes with exfoliation, without causing irritation. It is important only to make sure that contact with the skin is easy, without effort, otherwise friction on its surface can cause microdamages.
