History of Macintosh creation

The creator of the first mackintosh was the chemist CharlesMac. It was he who invented the waterproof material from which the famous raincoat was sewn. It is noteworthy that this discovery occurred entirely by accident. Once, during the work, the scientist dirty his sleeve jacket with a solution of rubber. Trying to bring the clothes in order, he noticed that the soiled sleeve does not get wet. This led Mackintosh to the idea that fabric impregnated with rubber could be put into industrial production. It took some time and a series of experiments to refine the tissue to an acceptable quality. Soon, Charles Mackintosh organized a company engaged in the manufacture of waterproof raincoats. In 1842 the company Chas. Mackintosh & Co has developed a new material, thanks to which, and became the world leader in sales of waterproof raincoats. First, the mackintosh was worn by soldiers and fishermen, but then ordinary people also appreciated them.
