Cooking pilaf with meatballs

You will need

  • For meatballs:
  • - minced meat 1-1,5 kg;
  • - Chicken egg 1 pc .;
  • - rice 1/2 cup;
  • - onion 1-2 pcs .;
  • - 1-2 garlic cloves garlic;
  • - ground black pepper;
  • - salt.
  • For pilaf:
  • - rice 3-4 glasses;
  • - carrots 1.5 kg;
  • - onions 1 kg;
  • - Spices for pilau 1 tbsp. a spoon;
  • - vegetable oil 150 ml.

Rice for meatballs thoroughly rinse, boil in salted water until half cooked. Then pour into a colander and cool completely.

Onions and garlic for meatballs, clean, grind, then combine with minced meat. Stuff the egg, add rice, salt and pepper ground. Stir thoroughly.

From ground beef form small balls. Cover them with food film and put into the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

Rice for pilaf thoroughly rinse and soak in warm water. Carrots and onions peel off the husk, wash and cut into strips.

In the cauldron, heat the vegetable oil, frywithin 5 minutes shaped meatballs. Should appear a golden crust. Then take the meatballs and put them on the plate. In the same oil fry the onions and carrots until golden brown.

To the fried vegetables add spices for pilaf and salt, mix. At the top of the vegetable mass lay the meatballs. Then pour out the thoroughly washed rice. Fill pilaf with hot water to cover 2 cm.

Bring the pilaf to a boil, then reduce the heat, cook under the lid for 25 minutes. When the pilaf is ready, let it brew for 15 minutes.
