How to put a ringtone on Android
Installing custom sound files as ringtones is supported by many smartphones on the Android platform. The order of choosing a ring tone depends on the manufacturer of the phone.
Instructions
1
Place the file (MP3 format) in the file foldera smartphone system designed for audio files. The name of this folder depends on the version of the platform. Most often it is called Ringtones (with a capital letter) and is located at the root of a removable SD card. If there is no such folder, create it and put the files there.
2
If the smartphone on the Android platform is released by anyonethe manufacturer, except Samsung, first unlock the phone and go to the main screen by pressing the return button (with a curved arrow) as many times as necessary. Select the menu item corresponding to the settings (its location depends on the model of the device and the version of the Android platform). If the menu appears in full screen, scroll to "Sounds and Display", "Sound" or similar. Select this option. If the subsections of the menu are on the left, and the sections are on the right, select a subsection with the same name.
3
Choose a menu item that can be wornthe name "Ringtones", "Ringtones", "Melodies", etc. Sometimes this item is located in the top level of the settings menu, and not in the submenu. A list of files located in the folder intended for ringtones appears. Select the desired file and it will become a ringtone.
4
Similarly, you can select a melody forthe only time you need to call a folder is not Ringtones, but Alarms, and the item for selecting a melody can be found in the alarm management menu (it is called by clicking on the clock located on one of the main screen's pages or the "Clock" icon in the application list). Here you can set the melody only after one of the alarm management programs is created by clicking on it and selecting the item "Ringtone", "Melody" or similar.
5
In many Samsung phones on the Android platformthe way the melody is set is different from the usual one. Start the regular music player (the third-party does not work). Start playing the desired melody. Click on the hardware or on-screen (depending on the phone) menu selection button - there are several parallel lines on it. In the menu that appears, select "Set as", and in the submenu - "Ringtone" or "Ringtone".
6
Call your smartphone, but do not answer the call. Make sure that the selected melody sounds.
