What is Foamiran, what tools are needed and how to work with it - this is far from a complete list of issues that invariably arise for all who are facing it for the first time.
On the Internet there are different names for thisamazing material: fame paper, foamiran, foam, foam, porous or foamed rubber, rubber suede. In English, "foam" means "foam." In fact, it is foamed ethyl vinyl acetate (EVA), from which make beach shoes, sports mats, etc. This material is recognized as safe for health, so it conquers new areas of production. Now he penetrated into the hand-made. The needlewomen around the world use it to create flowers, interior toys and other products for home decor, creating accessories and decorating clothes.
Properties of Foamiran
To the touch it resembles a suede or very dense sponge. When heated, the sheet can easily be shaped, while the foiamir can stretch quite extensively and retain its shape upon cooling.
The most common is 1-1.5 mm of fauamir in sheets20 x 30, 30 x 30 cm. For this format, holes that are not defective are not uncommon, since small bubbles are inevitable during the foaming process. Thin foamed sheet EVA is used to create small items: flowers and jewelry for the hair. Less popular and more expensive 2-2,5 mm fom, it is used for making large dolls and children's creativity. In the latter case, it is used for applications.
How to work with fameiranom
Basic tools:
- glue gun, super-glue or pencil;
- iron or iron for hair;
- scissors;
- sharp stick;
- pastel crayons or eye shadow.
Foamed rubber is cut very easily, noeven a child will not experience difficulties. The material is not afraid of water, perfectly adheres to any surface and even without heating a little stretches, which allows you to paste it almost anywhere. Do not pull the sheet too hard, because it can tear in the most prominent place.
On foi-paper you can draw with a pen, acrylic paints, and give the shades of pastel crayons. But since they are far from every master, they will be perfectly replaced with blush and eye shadow. 
Precautionary measures
Since the work uses glutinouspistol and iron, you must follow the precautionary measures not to burn your hands. For beginner needlewomen, it is better to limit the heating of this household appliance to the synthetic mode. And when using an adhesive gun, the main thing is that the melted mass does not get on the skin, as it instantly sticks and can cause a burn. It is better for children to give glue-pencil at first.
