How to remove traces from a sticker

Acquiring household appliances, children's toys,books or dishes, we first of all try to remove from them price tags, information stickers. However, after them often there is a sticky trace, which will later spoil the appearance of the thing. There are different ways to remove these traces. Its choice depends on the type of surface.

Easily remove traces from stickers

You will need

You can, of course, just remove the stickermechanically. If the surface of the product is difficult to damage with a sharp object, use a blade or a sharpened knife. They can be applied, for example, on a ceramic surface. When using sharp objects on wooden, glass, enamel or plastic surfaces, there are no guarantees of preserving their appearance.

If the object is not damaged by water, for example,glass or plastic, you can leave it in some suitable container with a warm liquid for the night. In the morning, you quickly remove the unnecessary sticker with your hands, there will be no sticky marks from it. If they are still observed, rub them with a brush or a hard side of the sponge, which is used for washing dishes.

If you do not have time to soak, you canapply another way to remove the sticker. For example, on a plastic, glass or wooden surface, try using vegetable oil. Pre-remove the sticker itself, and wipe off any residue with a cotton pad dipped in vegetable oil. Clean the oil stain with soapy water. Sticker, pasted on a glass or plastic surface can be heated, for example, with a hair dryer. After heat treatment it will be much easier to remove simply with your hands.

A universal killer of glue marks fromstickers can be considered ordinary vodka. Dampen it with a soft cloth and handle a sticky place. There will be no noticeable marks from the sticker. To remove stickers from leather, paper and fabric products, there are special tools. For example, ask "UHU Etikettenloser" or "Label Off" aerosol in shops selling various chemical products. These funds are quite expensive, but effective. You can find cheaper analogs. These liquids are also suitable for removing gum and paint from clothing.

For a wooden surface, for example, furnitureYou can use baby powder. It should be poured into a sticky place, and then wiped with a cloth. The resulting pellets are then easily removed, the surface will remain without a sticky sticker. For the same purposes, dry soda or salt is suitable. But salt and soda can spoil the lacquered wooden surface.
