You can decorate the table in a variety of techniques. If you have the remains of wallpaper, natural materials, glue and paints, you can make a work of art from the most ordinary table.
Decoupage
The simplest and most accessible way is toapplication to the surface of paper or fabric. The surface for this is pre-grinded, removing the old varnish or paint, then ground, applying 2-3 layers of acrylic primer of the desired color with a wide brush or roller. Before applying each successive layer, make sure that the previous one has dried completely. On the dried layers of the primer paint is applied or immediately - the layer of PVA glue. When these layers dry, you can proceed with decoupage. The elements to be glued are laid out on the surface. It can be special decoupage cards, either whole or cut from them fragments, or three-layer large napkins and fragments of them, previously freed from the lower layers of paper. You can use clippings from magazines or photos, fabric, lace, skeletonized leaves. Apply with a wide rigid brush and PVA glue, in the direction from the center of the fragment to the edges. It should be ensured that no air bubbles remain, but at the same time, do not damage the thin paper with an extra push. When both the tiles and the grout have dried, one can go from above with several layers of a suitable varnish. Sometimes a mosaic on top is covered with glass or plexiglas, for additional protection.
