Tip 1: How to save outgoing mail

Keeping outgoing messages in the mail is useful. In addition to monitoring the conduct of correspondence, the fact of sending a letter may in rare cases serve as evidence of rightness.

How to save outgoing mail

You will need

  • - mailbox
  • - text editor
  • - graphics editor or program for creating screenshots

Instructions

1

Log in to your inbox and open the serviceto create a new letter. Find the graph in it, which is responsible for saving the copy in the "Sent Items" folder. It can carry a different name: "Save to Sent", "Save copy", etc. Check this box if it was not activated automatically. Thus, after sending to the recipient a copy of your message will be stored in your mailbox in the corresponding folder. The absence of a message in the "Sent" means that the message was not delivered. If you do not have a tick when writing a letter, it means that the automatic saving of a copy of the message is not set in the mailbox settings. Accordingly, for outgoing messages to be stored in the appropriate folder, you must change the mailbox settings.

2

Copy the text of the letter into a text editor andsave it on your computer. In this case, you can have access to the history of correspondence without access to the Internet. This method is good in cases where the archive of messages is necessary for internal control over the conduct of correspondence.

3

Create a screenshot of the email before it's timesending. This method will allow to prove the fact of sending a message in case of a disputable situation with the recipient. To do this, type the full text of the message. After that, press the "PrtSc SysRq" key on the computer keyboard. Open the standard Paint graphics editor and press Ctrl + V. A copy of the desktop in the form of an image appears in the field of the graphic editor. Then go back to the message creation field and click on the "Send" button. After that, the result page should be loaded. If the mailbox service informs you that the letter was sent to the addressee, make a screenshot of this page. These two images will serve as irrefutable evidence that you have sent the letter and the postal service is responsible for the delivery of the message.
