According to Chapter 3 of the Water Code of the Russian Federation,physical, and legal entities have the right to use surface water bodies (which include lakes, rivers, ponds, reservoirs, springs, etc.) when designing contract water use.

Prepare the package of documents necessary forregistration of the contract of water use. For individuals, this is a copy of the passport (or the identity document replacing it), a certificate from the tax service on the registration, calculation of the volume of water abstraction, a list of planned water management activities, calculation of payment for the use of water resources. A complete list of necessary documents should be obtained from the territorial authority Rosvodresursov located at the location of the proposed water use.

When drawing up a water use contract forlegal entity include in the list of documents an extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, as well as constituent documents. In the event that the contract is drawn up for an individual entrepreneur, take an extract from the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs.

Attach the full package of documents to the application forgranting for use for the abstraction of water a certain water body. Make a statement in the form adopted in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia on May 22, 2007. Take the sample form on the official website of the Ministry, or ask for a form from the territorial authority of Rosvodoresurs.

If necessary, contact for freeconsultation with the official who provides consultations (both in person and by phone, and e-mail) in the territorial agency of the Revolutionary Military Council. Please note that a written response to a question can be given within 30 calendar days, and a response to an electronic appeal within 15 calendar days.
