The cost of tickets for travel in various typestransport is constantly getting higher. But some categories of people are entitled to benefits that significantly limit their costs of using public transport.
The cost of tickets for a train or train forsome people can cost two times cheaper, and even at all there is an opportunity to purchase a ticket for free. Privileges for travel by rail extend to participants in hostilities, veterans, pensioners, disabled people, children and students. Some people can ride for free in trains and once a year on trains. Other benefits are only used in suburban transport. For each category of the population there are benefits. For example, deputies can ride in the railway transport free of charge all year round. According to the Social Code, pensioners are entitled to a privilege of fifty percent of the total fare on public transport, including taxis. In order to take advantage of this privilege, a person needs to show a pension certificate in transport. Exactly the same privilege at a rate of fifty percent from cost of the ticket is necessary and to invalids. Some categories of people are eligible for benefits in public transport. Usually, such benefits are included in the fare twice cheaper than for ordinary people. People who qualify for benefits include veterans of labor. These are those persons who have the status of a veteran in accordance with Art. 7 FZ 5-FZ "On Veterans", after the establishment, appointment of a labor pension until old age, regardless of the termination of their work activity. Also veterans of military service are classified as beneficiaries. These are persons who have the status of a veteran of military service in accordance with Art. 5 FZ 5-FZ "On Veterans", upon reaching the age that gives the right to a labor pension until old age in accordance with the Federal Law "On Labor Pensions in the Russian Federation". In addition, the workers of the rear can count on the benefits. These are persons who worked in the rear during the period from June 22, 1941 to May 9, 1945, for at least six months, excluding the period of work in the temporarily occupied territories of the USSR, or they were awarded orders and medals of the USSR for selfless labor during the Great Patriotic War. Persons subjected to political repression and subsequently rehabilitated, having a disability and pensioners are also exempts. Privileges for travel are also present in families of war veterans, people awarded with the Order of Honorary Donor of the USSR or Honorary Donor of Russia and employees of law enforcement bodies.
