Christmas Orthodox people celebrate 7January, and Catholics and Protestants - on December, 25th. This holiday is sometimes confused with the New Year, forgetting about its deep religious meaning, as well as about special traditions that should be observed on this day. And even if you are not a Christian, this does not mean that you can not celebrate Christmas happily.

Decorate your house. Christmas attributes are similar to the New Year, but nevertheless there are differences between them. In particular, it is recommended to use figured candles, asterisks, wreaths as decorative elements. You should also decorate your house with images and figures of angels. Instead of garlands, use candles in the original candlesticks. Do not forget about the special color scheme: traditionally Christmas tones are considered red and gold.

Do not guess at Christmas. We can guess only on the eve of this holiday, however modern people, unfortunately, often confuse traditions. It is believed that someone who is trying to find out his fate on this bright holiday can incur a terrible curse on himself, so it's better to look for other entertainments for this day. By the way, it's also not allowed to work on Christmas, so it's better to prepare for the holiday in advance, so that you do not engage in household chores that day.

Take guests or go toanyone. Christmas is appropriate for fun walks, sleigh rides, games, giving gifts to close people, pleasant communication with friends and relatives. Try this day to forget about the quarrels and misunderstandings, forgive people for accidentally said offensive words, do not be angry with children who are upset. Christmas is a bright holiday, and it should not be overshadowed.

Religious people on this day can be readBible in the family circle, pray, remember the birth of Christ and the gifts of the Magi. It is believed that Christmas should be given a gift to Christ, following the example of the three kings. The best gift that a Christian can present in this case is prayer, faith and sincere gratitude.
