But according to the results of four races Alexander Tretyakov showed the best time - 3 minutes 44.29 seconds, thereby ensuring the gold podium of the Olympics. It should be noted that Alexander Tretyakov has already successfully competed for the Russian national team in Vancouver, where he successfully became a bronze medalist. After the Olympic victory, he became the first skeletonist, who at the same time is also the world champion. The remaining two Russian athletes entered the top six, finishing fifth and sixth, repeating the result of the women's skeleton team.
