Definition of weight category

The weight category is determined directlybefore the competition in the presence of a coach and a doctor. The record of the assigned weight category is made in the doctor's card and the athlete's passport. If the established category differs from the declared one, the soldier is increased or lowered depending on the results of weighing. The sportsmen are weighed naked or in swimming trunks. Women weigh in bathing suits. Before weighing the athlete must undergo a medical examination and be allowed to fight on medical indicators. Weighing of all athletes is held on the first day of the competition from 8 to 10 am. In the following days, during the period from 8 to 9 am, those athletes who will compete on this day will be weighed in addition. The weighing time can be changed by the main judge of the competition. At least 3 hours after weighing, battles begin. Each fighter performs in the weight category that was assigned to him on the first day of weigh-in. The weight category can be changed by the judges, if during the next weigh-in the body weight of the fighter changed. Also, the athlete has the right to return to his weight class, if before the end of the official weighing procedure, he will bring his weight into the category framework. If the weight of the fighter deviates insignificantly (no more than a half-kilogram), he is allowed to stay in his category.
