Thanks to the initiative of the Moscow City Duma in 2011a project was launched to conduct free excursions called "Exit to the City". Excursions on non-trivial routes are conducted by outstanding Muscovites, experienced guides, teachers of universities. In 2011, the tourists were offered 25 routes, among them were the "Seven tallest buildings in Moscow", "Historical styles in Moscow architecture", "Avant-garde architecture and art deco in the center of Moscow", "Fyodor Shekhtel and Moscow Modern" and others. According to the organizers of the excursions, the love for the capital begins with the study of its architectural features. All excursions were free of charge, and anyone could participate in them. To do this, it was only necessary to visit the website of the project "Going to the City" and announce your participation by e-mail. After that, the person who wanted to join the beautiful email account received a letter indicating the place and time of the collection. At the designated time it was necessary to come to the meeting place with a passport - the sightseers were checked against the declared list. Each tourist can take part in two trips per month. The project "Exit to the city" was very to the liking of Muscovites and guests of the capital. According to the organizers, in the period from October to December 2011 about 20 thousand people took part in the excursions. In February 2012 the project started again, gathering a huge number of tourists from different countries. After another success, "Exit to the city" went on a summer vacation. In autumn 2012, free tours are planned to continue, and already on an ongoing basis. Several new interesting routes will also be introduced. So far, there is no information on the upcoming tours on the organizers' website, but they urge Moscow's fans to follow the updates.
