Filled out application for a visa. The questionnaire can be filled in by hand, but it is possible and online, right on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland. Electronic questionnaires have an advantage over paper ones, since they are processed much faster. But they are not accepted in all visa centers, this point should be specified separately. The application form may differ slightly, depending on the region where the documents are submitted. After filling, a file with a bar code will be generated, which contains encrypted information about the applicant. An electronic questionnaire and this file must be printed and signed. If you fill out a paper questionnaire, it must also be signed. To submit documents it is necessary not later than in 2 weeks after filling in the questionnaire. The form should be filled in English. It is possible to fill it in Russian, but you need to use Latin letters.

International passport. Be attentive, it must be valid for at least 3 months after the expiration date of the requested visa. In the passport, you need two pages for a visa sticker and stamps on crossing the border.

For those who go shopping, you need to show the route and planned places to visit. If the purpose of the visit is to visit relatives or friends, then you need to show an invitation. It is compiled in a free form, to certify somewhere this document is not required. You can receive an invitation by fax, e-mail or provide the original document. For independent travelers, you need to show hotel reservations.

The period of validity of the policy must begin from the day of filing. Be careful when choosing an insurance company: Finland approves far from all of them.
