Flight delay is an extremely unpleasant situation,It can overshadow all further rest, and even at all - to violate the plans of a business trip. A passenger can expect compensation inthe following situations: - with a delay of two hours or more of flights up to 1500 km - with a delay of three hours or more flights of more than 1,500 km between EU countries or other flights ranging from 1,500 to 3,500 km - with a delay greater than four hours of all other flights that fall under the first two points.

The airline must provide the passengerdrinks and meals, according to the duration of the flight's waiting. In addition, the passenger of the delayed flight must be given the opportunity to make two phone calls, or send two messages by e-mail, facsimile or telegram.

In case the flight is delayed until the next dayafter the originally planned, the airline must provide the passenger with a hotel room, as well as a transfer between the hotel and the airport if necessary.

In those situations where the flight is delayed more thanfor five hours, the passenger has the right to expect the return of the full cost of the ticket for the unfulfilled segment of the flight, as well as for the flight that has been carried out, if in connection with the cancellation of the subsequent flight it becomes meaningless.

If the airline offers an alternative flightinstead of the detainee, while the passenger is placed in a higher class, the company has no right to demand any additional payment for upgrading the class.

If the situation is exactly the opposite - the passengeris placed on an alternative flight class lower, the company must return within seven days: - 30% of the cost of the air ticket for flights up to 1500 km; - 50% of the price for flights from 1500 km inside the European Union and flights ranging from 1500 km to 3500 km for other destinations - 75% of the ticket price for all flights not falling under the definition of the previous points.

You can refuse to return money directly at the airport and send to the agency where you bought the ticket. If this happens, ask the airline representative at the airport counter to indicate on your ticket information about the delay in the flight. With such a mark, you will be paid much faster. In the case of an electronic ticket, a mark can be placed on the printed route of the receipt. If you are forced to wait for the aircraft to take off, then you can demand free of charge from the air carrier the following services: 1. If the flight is delayed for two hours or more, you should serve refreshments. If the aircraft takes off for more than four hours, the airline representatives must arrange hot meals. The food should be served every six hours during the day, and at night every eight hours. 3. If you travel with a child under seven, you must be provided a place in the mother and child room. If the take-off of the aircraft is delayed for six or more hours at night and for eight or more hours during the day, the airline representatives are required to settle all passengers at the hotel and arrange free delivery to the hotel at the same time.
